CH Leaderboards PTB 5th release!
The fifth Public Test Build for Clone Hero Leaderboards is here! We’ve got a lot of fixes to talk about, so let’s dive in!

As we mentioned in our first PTB blog post, our primary goal throughout the v1.1 PTBs has been to gather enough data to reproduce and fix any remaining engine bugs. Specifically, we wanted to eliminate score mismatches (also known as “desyncs”), a situation where our servers disagree with your game on what your final score should be based on the inputs you provided during a run. During our first PTB, roughly 21% of all submissions were desyncing. Today, we’re proud to report that thanks to the fixes and updates we’ve been rolling out on both the client and server side over the past few months, that number has dropped to just 0.6%! That means our engine is approaching 100% deterministic simulation under virtually every scenario you can throw at it.
With this new build, we’re aiming to reduce that number even further by fixing multiple issues we’ve noticed over the last few weeks. We expect to cut that 0.6% in half at a minimum with these fixes.
We’ve also made a lot of improvements for other parts of the game. We are further improving Xbox One instrument support by adding calibration and remapping to the controller mapper, along with fixes for online mode, the brutal modifier, and more.

iOS Builds
For those keeping a close eye on the development of the iOS builds, we got great news! No more sideloading is required as now the game is available through Apple’s TestFlight app, you can now join the test group through this link https://testflight.apple.com/join/XAAG82hb and download the game directly from the app.
Leaderboard score reset
As with every PTB release so far, we have to wipe the leaderboards once more to upgrade them to the new submission format. It’s safe to expect every new version to necessitate a leaderboards wipe, so don’t go grinding important scores with the expectation that they’re going to stick around while leaderboards are in Public Test Build state!
How to join the PTB
The only way to join the PTB is through our Discord server, which you can find here. Once in, navigate to the Public Test Build channels, where you will find the dedicated channels for PTB announcements, downloads and discussion.
Final word
This level of engine simulation stability that we’ve reached today couldn’t have been possible without every single one of you submitting scores to the leaderboards or reporting issues on the bug channel, so as always, we’d like to thank every one of you who has made this possible! Keep on climbing the leaderboards!
